Create or select an alternate template#
- In the editor, select the resource type and choose an existing alternate template, or create a template based on a suitable layout.
- Preview with the product, collection, or page you want to design.
- Make the layout changes and save.
- Open the resource in Shopify admin and choose the appropriate theme template where Shopify makes it available. Save the resource and verify its storefront URL.
Use product-specific content without many templates#
Keep one shared layout and connect supported text, image, or page settings to compatible metafields. This keeps the structure consistent while changing the content per product.
