Getting started / Guide
Before you publish
Review the real customer journey, not only the home page screenshot.
Content and navigation#
- Logo/store name, contact information and policy links are correct.
- No sample offers, demo reviews or fictional delivery/return terms are visible.
- Every visible menu and call-to-action has a useful destination.
- Hidden sections are intentionally hidden; resource-dependent sections have real content.
Commerce#
- Options, prices, variants, stock and images stay in sync.
- Standard add-to-cart and any quick-order/quick-view flow select the intended variants.
- Cart quantity changes, removal, empty states and errors are understandable.
- Checkout shows the expected payments, taxes and shipping rules.
- Gift-card recipients, pickup, subscriptions or B2B rules have been tested where used.
Layout and accessibility#
- Check actual desktop and mobile storefronts, not just the editor.
- Test keyboard navigation, focus return, contrast, alt text and reduced motion.
- Check long product names, missing images and translated content.
- Review third-party apps and repeat performance measurements.
Store operations#
- Your support destination and documentation links work.
- The intended theme is the one being published.
- A backup exists and your team knows how to inspect the previous version.
- Complete any remaining Shopify/legal/business setup appropriate to your store.
