Languages, countries and markets

Connect the theme to languages and markets configured in Shopify.

Language files versus published translations#

The codebase includes English, German, Spanish, French and Italian storefront locale files. Having locale files does not translate your products, pages, menus or all authored section text. Configure/publish languages and translate content using Shopify’s supported tools.

Show the selectors#

  1. Configure available languages and markets in Shopify.
  2. Open Footer and enable its localization selector setting.
  3. Preview with more than one available language or country. Selectors appear conditionally when there is something to switch.
  4. Check prices, currency, links, translated labels and content in each intended market.

Right-to-left content#

The theme has direction-aware implementation in parts of the layout, but complete RTL acceptance is not established. Test the intended language, menus, sliders, forms, icons and app content before claiming a fully supported RTL storefront.

Market-dependent features#

Payment options, shipping eligibility, account behavior, taxes and quantity pricing can differ by market/customer. Theme settings cannot override store eligibility.
